I am Natoa Rasolonjatovo. I am 24-years-old and live in Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar. Coming from a family of artists, I naturally immersed myself in drawing. I started my journey at the age of 9. My artistic identity came by accidentally discovering painting on glass. Recently I presented another dimension of my art – still glass painting, but with a contemporary style. Through my work, I express the lived context and daily life scenes of Malagasy people. Living off my art, and carrying the name of my country high, have always been my greatest wishes.
The world is not doing well. Thousands of medical staff and scientists at the frontline of this pandemic are sacrificing their lives by exposing themselves to the virus. For this reason, this artwork is dedicated to them to share and express our compassion towards them in this common struggle. We were once separated by our races and culture, but now this virus has transmitted a positive wave to us which has rekindled the spark of hope within us as we mutually support medical personnel. This is all possible because our goal is health, and our strength is solidarity in order to win the cup of victory
